Out of the spotlight, George W. Bush’s ‘hometown’ struggles to survive

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/without-bush-texas-town-struggles-survive-181221698--politics.html;_ylt=A2KJ2PbmW3hRFmsA6gzQtDMD

I am having a difficult time copying and pasting.

The article talked about how the townsfolk were initially worried about the trouble involved in having a famous person there. Then they got used to the attention and the money. Now, all of that is almost gone, and most of the new businesses have already shut down.

They wondered if the ranch would be sold, but Laura Bush said it would not. The family only goes there occasionally, like for holidays. Folks there say Bush used to stop in for a cheeseburger when he was presidentin, but he hasn't been there to the diner in years.

We all knew the place was a prop, a set.
