In an interview with Diane Sawyer airing now (sorry, no link), in talking about the invasion of Iraq, GWB says, "As far as I'm concerned, the debate is over. We did what we did. History will be the judge."

Ummm... unless I missed something, how do we arrive at a judgement without a debate on the matter? Or does he just imagine there's some judge "History" high on a bench to hand down a decision, without debate, some day after he's long gone?

I really wish he would go away.
