If they can find something more dramatic, closer to home and easier to cover and peculate about, then that's the new "news" that they will sell, 24/7.

I'm not saying that North Korea is not a serious problem, but all we have heard for weeks is the threat that they pose to us. After the Boston bombing.....crickets.....

Fear sells.

Then we'll never be afraid! Of course, we'll be uninformed and ignorant, but ignorance is bliss after all - right?

He FINALLY got smart, or at least someone over there got smart, and realized that it would be a catastrophically dumb decision to antagonize the United States after we were attacked and looking for blood. Plus, as another poster above stated, North Korea had been quietly backing down lately anyway. They're even talking about talking now.

Or did cooler heads decide war against the US would turn out very bad, stuff him in the trunk of a car, drive till it broke down, and left him there?

to manipulate the information he receives. So, maybe there are those who realized things were maybe edging towards getting out of hand and began telling him that, yes, the US totally backed down or something.

Now, if those people are crazy/evil, we could continue to have a problem (see: Bush, George W. et al).
