I went to a private parochial school as a child and I have never seen anything that stupid.
We had science, math and other classes but kept religion separate as a different subject.

This is idiotic.

In the 80's they said dino fossils were placed in the ground by god to test their faith. Only since Jurassic Park and the craze among kids with dinosaurs, have they sought to incorporate them into their religion's position. It's similar to how the co-opted the pagan's Winter Solstice Tree and Spring's reproductive festival of the goddes Oestra (Easter, bunnies, eggs, et al).

So because they can't explain something in context of their made up book of fairy tales, they bastardize and warp the original so that it "fits in" with their fairy tales.

If aliens landed tomorrow and started talking to us, Pat Robertson would point to some random verse and say "see, right there, that's them".

It must be convenient to change facts of science rather than your made up dogma. At least the Catholic Church will change with the times occasionally. Remember the Meat on Friday thing they just gave up on?

If a thread title is identical to one posted previously in the same group or forum, a re-run feature kicks in that flags the OP on that main group or forum page
