plus i'm originally from and currently live in the Shitcago MSA. mention of illinois makes it relevant to me and the only worthwhile thing in this cornfuckin state is the economic powerhouse that is its largest city.

amazing how people get worked up about gun deaths in some places but they squeak nary a peep when it concerns the mass murder epidemic in the "mistake by the lake."

I work in many neighborhoods mostly impoverished areas. Most of the people I meet at work are AMAZING. I am constantly learning from them.

I will say that our mayor sucks and our governor is in way over his head.

But, I love Chicago.

it's in the state of illinois.

in high school english class, they make most students write a compare and contrast paper.

goes like this:

take two similar things (e.g. two cities in the same state).

compare and contrast those things.

The shooting occured 300 miles from Chicago. 5 more people have died from senseless violence...does it matter where it happens? Compare and contrast those things with the families who are trying to find out why their loved ones died...

Peace...

Two "cities" in same state, only one (Manchester) has population of 300, and the other (Chicago) has population of around 3 million.
These "cities" are more than 250 miles apart, and it would take three hours and forty-five minutes or so to get between the two.
Actually, one of them is not even a city.

It's sort of like Barneveld, New York, an upstate village with population 323, and New York City (population over 8 million). Same thing.

Are you nuts or just rabid about your disgust with the city of Chicago?

the shooter should be declared an enemy combatant. He took down 5 people and who knows how many more he would have killed.
