A man was crushed to death by a tree in Moorea, Tahiti

Tragic event during the day Thursday on the sister island: a septuagenarian died crushed by a tree. His son, who had undertaken to cut the tree in question must answer for his actions before the Justice.

Having obviously not told people what he was going to do, or at least has not provided a safety zone around the kill zone, a man wanted on Thursday morning, cut a tree on a property located in the district of Haapiti, Moorea.

The tree, a significant size, came crashing into his seventies which has lost their lives in these little mundane circumstances. The septuagenarian, moreover, was the father of the man who had undertaken to cut down the tree.

The police heard the unfortunate "lumberjack". He should be prosecuted for manslaughter, which will lead to the criminal court of Papeete.

Bora Bora had one nice restaurant, besides the ones at the hotels, on the whole island. Tiny island with nothing to do unless you love the water. We dive, so it worked out great.
Moorea, on the other hand, has many more places to go.

If you have been to Hawaii, imagine Bora Bora is Kauai, and Moorea is Maui...

I love love LOVE the water, though, and snorkeling is one of the great joys of life for me. I want to spend our anniversary just sitting on our butts for 2 weeks, snorkeling and swimming and sleeping and drinking and being lazy and hedonistic. LOL.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.

Were you on Tahiti or also on the island next door, Moorea, where this happened?

I could seriously go there. Like Gauguin!

Then flew over to Moorea.. and stayed at CLUB MED. Its no longer there any longer. It was the cheapest place to stay at the time, with the whole package being around 8,000 US dollars (Three people) for a week. Included the flight, the shacks we stayed in, the free food, drinks you paid for with beads.. which you purchased. It was the most incredible place in the world.. and people there speak three languages, Polynesian (or whatever it is called.), French and English.

Clever idea, you could wear them like a necklace!

I stayed at one that's also now gone, in the Bahamas on an island named Eleuthera.
