This will be a HUGE victory because the Democrats will look like The Adults!

(18,318 posts)They have a cold-steel ideology, and the GOPers WILL NOT be dissuaded from it. They just do not fear or recognize any thing or institution that purportedly stands before them. The resistance to the GOP can't hope for some kind of passive aggressiveness writ large; resistance will come from a strong party with something to say. And what is said should be marked by brevity and clarity.
The GOP WILL undue it all if things continue as they have been. They have not forged this Right-Wing machine for 50 years only to compromise. They will go for it all.

It would be silly to blame Twitter or the comment boards for this human impulse. People are the problem, not technology.
