Report: Tamerlan Tsarnaev ‘Took An Interest’ In Alex Jones’ ‘Conspiracy Theory Website’ Infowars

Investigators are beginning to uncover the many influences that led the Tsarnaev brothers to commit their deadly spree last week which included bombing the Boston Marathon and shooting a police officer. Deep within an Associated Press story on the many influences that moved the elder and more ideological brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, to commit last week’s atrocities was this choice detail: “Tamerlan took an interest in Infowars, a conspiracy theory website.”

And used Al Qaeda "educational" material to learn to make the bomb. This clearly had nothing to do with Islamic extremists.

I'm going to say this as nicely as possible, denial ain't just a river in Egypt.

These monsters took young men and turned them into murders. There are some pretty disgusting ideas hiding behind the guise of religion (all religions not just Islam) and I'm sick of these animals hiding behind religious tolerance to preach their hate.

Obviously not anywhere close to every Muslim or remotely close to a majority of Muslims did, but anyone who preached hate, murder and Jihad as a way to even the score with the united states is implicit in these murders.

I refuse to let them off the hook by just blaming the bombers (they of course deserve a great deal of blame too).

Monstrous preachers filling impressionable young people with hate, resulting in terrible tragedies. If you think these preachers aren't just as responsible for these murders as anyone, I don't know what else to say.

Granted, they're not American right-wing, but they're right-wing nonetheless. As much as the American right and the Islamic right hate each other, they're very similar.

When they're not demonizing each other, they're conniving with each other.

The irony here is almost unfathomable. Try wrapping your mind around the fact that a collection of conspiracy loons who believe that every major terrorist attack is an inside job may have helped to inspire an actual terrorist attack carried out by actual terrorists. I suppose there can only be one explanation–courtesy Deadspin pal Jeb Lund:

Jeb Lund @Mobute

.@infowars Is Infowars a false-flag website designed to collect fans like Tamerlan Tsarnaev to discredit Infowars?

I participate in the Gun Control Reform group, I have also long been a strong opponent of police overreach and have been involved in several protests that involved facing down riot police. The NRA on the other hand? They donate huge sums of money to the people who cheered on the Bush regime the loudest.

Last time I checked our profiles did not state whether or not we support a police state, but most of us don't and our profiles do not suggest otherwise. I see far more authoritarian thinking from the gun nuts, look at the politicians they support and you will see the majority of NRA supporters vote for right-wing authoritarian candidates.

A person that floated around on the fringe of hate groups looking for an identity. Finally with the help of a few people he did something totally stupid for a reason that probably made tons of sense to him but very little to anyone outside the group.
