In a book called Branding Terror, Francesco Trivini Bellini and former United Nations counter-terrorism analyst Artur Beifuss compiled the logos and brand identities of terrorist organizations "from al-Qaeda to the Real IRA" and analyzed them as they would any logo. It's fascinating to approach the identity of the terrorists from a graphic design perspective.
Branding Terror says:
Each of the 60-plus entries contains a concise description of the group's ideology, leadership and modus operandi, and a brief timeline of events. The group's branding the symbolism, colours and typography of its logo and flag is then analysed in detail.

(21,977 posts)I pretty much thought you were going for the "all gun owners are therefore terrorists" mantra, which of course would be a prime example of fallacious logic. Or maybe you were just implying that.
Time for some and I swear I'm staying out of this one.
