One of the funniest comments I heard during the speculation last week was that Clint Van Zandt fellow on M$NBC saying that since the pressure cooker had L (for litres) under it which suggested 'foreign jihadists' probably from Pakistan blah blah blah.

My youngest sister bought me a beautiful Italian pressure cooker in the US nearly two decades ago - I never pressure anything but it is a beautiful pot and clearly it has litres not gallons.

a big aluminum thing - you can stack 2 layers of pints in it (and maybe quarts, I haven't tried that).

I would never gook anything in aluminum. The canner would be TOO heavy if it were steel. So I have both and use them for different things.

I never knew they had one that functioned as both, lol.

People are going to associate pressure cookers with bombs, terrorism and destruction for a very long time. For those directly impacted by the bombing, the very sight of a pressure cooker will probably be disturbing. I can see where Williams-Sonoma wouldn't want to channel these feelings of fear and horror into a store display.

Retailers skillfully manipulate us with marketing tactics all the time, dontcha know.
