The Fight of Our Children's Generation

I tell my kids often that the fight against the domination of global corporations on all aspects of our lives will be the fight of their generation.

I stumbled across a video of Reagan's First Press Conference which took place on January 29, 1981. Sam Donaldson asks him about his approach to dealing with the Soviet Union at the 4:19 mark:

Near the end of his response, Reagan makes a statement about his perception of how the Soviets operated, that I think applies very well to global corporations today:

The only morality they recognize is what will further their cause, meaning they reserve unto themselves, the right to commit any crime, to lie, to cheat, in order to attain that (communist / socialist domination), and that is moral, not immoral, and we operate on a different set of standards. I think when you do business with them, even a detente, you keep that in mind.

Large corporations aim is profit. They seem to be willing to do anything to achieve more of it. This board is filled with continued examples of this. I make it my business to educate my kids on just how these companies are effecting their lives. My prayer is that their generation will ultimately succeed.
