Every single time we go to honor our dead - these fuck knuckles insert themselves into the thought stream of a grieving nation.

1. And that is exactly their intent: to get attention.

They make their living by doing, or threatening to do, extremely offensive things (like protesting the funerals of soldiers, dead children or bombing victims). This causes understandable outrage, and causes this "church" to get lots of publicity. The best thing for them is if they are harassed or threatened or restricted in some way, because then they start lawsuits claiming assault or violation of their 1st Amendment rights (several of their members are lawyers). They know just where the line is and they walk as close to it as they can. The best way to deal with this collection of haters is to ignore them. That's the one thing that will destroy them.

2. They are media attention whores.

And they have lots of willing "johns" in the news media, for one main reason.

They create conflict, ratings go up.

3. My wife has always wanted to protest the Westboro Baptist Church. She says she would love

to get a group of people to wait for that group about 1 or two blocks from the "protest" location and surround the van/car with people holding white roses and singing a song about Give peace a chance.


IF ANYONE wants to try her idea in the boston area by all means steal it.

4. Why not have a huge group

Staged at their home in Kansas. 24/7 with signs and peaceful music. Now that they have that rainbow house across the street, it would be a good summer trip. I think Westboro should be banned from flying. They ARE terrorist.
