Why do RWNJs hate Texas?

I was just perusing FReekville and noticed that there is only one (visible) post regarding the Texas explosion that refers to Pres. Obama as an "attention whore". There are plenty of posts whining about Muslims, some Earth Day bashing, etc.

Nothing on Texas. I can't imagine why. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it wasn't a Muslim that killed all those people. It was greed. Victims of greed should be proud to die for the rich, I guess.

It isn't just FReekville. I've seen very few comments from my RW friends.

... that they can spin into political gain. Mass is a hard left state, and that tragedy they see as a failure in progressive policy. Texas is a bright red state; the explosion is more a liability than anything else.

At DU, however, we've had plenty to say about West Fertilizer Company, and far too much of it has been wrongheaded condemnation of the state and its people.

True. It doesn't stop with Texas, though. There's bigotry everywhere. I'm from Chicago, so I get it from both sides of the aisle. The Texas hatred is much worse here.

I agree that they're (RWNJs) having a hard time figuring out how to wrap their tiny brains around the explosion in Texas. I'm sure they're attempting to find a reason to blame Democrats.

They have villains in Boston. The entire Muslim community. They don't mourn unless they can find someone to blame that isn't on their side. I'm sure they see this as just an unfortunate and unavoidable accident.

Edit to clarify: When I say, "The Texas hatred is much worse here." I don't mean in Chicago...I mean here as in DU. Chicagoans really don't hate anyone but the Packers.

There is the whole Cubbies/Sox thing. But that's an internal squabble.

To them, it's just another industrial accident that is part of the cost of doing business.

Your comment made me nauseous. Not your fault. You were spot on. Casualties of greed and ignorance in the name of FReedom.

They're focusing on other states. AZ, NC, FL, just to name a few. I think it has more to do with the 'cause' of the explosion. No one to blame, in their opinion. Just an accident. Nothing to see there, move along.

I just keep remembering the Wiki link to West, TX. It's a tiny little town. Besides the obvious loss of human life, this could be devastating to the entire area economically. At least until the greedy bastards that are the cause of the devastation are allowed to rebuild.
