Latest "fad" (translation: Latest blithering stupidity)

I mean,

Don't take the cinnamon challenge. That's the advice from doctors in a new report about a dangerous prank depicted in popular YouTube videos but which has led to hospitalizations and a surge in calls to U.S. poison centers.

The fad involves daring someone to swallow a spoonful of ground cinnamon in 60 seconds without water. But the spice is caustic, and trying to gulp it down can cause choking, throat irritation, breathing trouble and even collapsed lungs, the report said.

Seriously though don't they do any research? Maybe in a few years they'll be writing about the milk challenge.

Nutmeg is a mild hallucinogen and it's also easier to get down.

But then they wouldn't be able to prove how macho they are, I guess.

Kids are stoopid. When I was young, I had some male college friends who did hot-pepper-eating challenges--it was pretty funny, and no airway spasms or collapsed lungs. Just sweating and pain, LOL.
