Wow...brainwashing has never been so fun!
By Ramsey
When we were looking for a way to lie out right to our children and keep them in the dark about the actual workings of life on Earth, this was the perfect video for us. With fun characters and great music, we were able to indoctrinate our children into a way of thinking that should have gone away in the bronze age. If you want your kids to believe in fairy tales and hocus pocus with no factual basis whatsoever, this is the best place to start!

This is related to the recent viral 4th grade science test:

Can anyone prove this test to be for real?

1. I just went to Snopes and they don't seem to have that test vetted.

So I submitted it to them.

To us, the reality-based community, that test seems beyond ludicrous, but it may well be real. Aside from the content of the test and the correct answers, I'm bothered by the remarkably simple reading comprehension level. That should be a second grade test, it seems to me, although teachers might want to chime in here.

A few days after the Reddit posting, a reader wrote to us and reported that the quiz displayed above belonged to his 10-year-old daughter, saying:

-snip-

She will not be attending the school next year ...

Did we know if this ignorance was running rampant ?

I think there is big funny money being made by these scammers and they rationalize it as free market capitalism .

There certainly is a disinformation industry at work.

home-schooled. And Creationism had not overtaken the thought processes of devout Christians.

While public schools tended to shy away from overt teaching of evolution after the Snopes Trial in 1925, actual biology and chemistry was taught. The kind of thing that this supposed test shows really was not out there.

Read "The Rocks Don't Lie" by David R Montgomery, a history of geology and creationism. Very interesting.
