Colin Goddard (victim of Virginia Tech shooting)

Did anyone else see him on Real Time this past Friday?

He said something so simple and straightforward that I wish everyone would take his words to heart and really consider his message: We can't shoot our way out of our problems.

That's true of the US as a country, as well as citizens. We're a gun-oriented society, but we can't shoot our way out of our problems.

So simple. I hadn't seen anyone else state it quite that way before in response to the proposal that we arm our teachers and have more people carrying guns, everywhere.

I was really impressed with him.

(For those who hate FB and social media, these graphics make a point clearly and are much easier to share -- or more apt to be shared -- than pure text. Just sayin'.)

I thought he was very thoughtful and impressive too. I just wish that Maher would have STFU and let him talk more! I hope we see more of him and hear more about his work. Thanks for posting this.

Maher's one of those people I agree with some of the time but certainly not all of the time, and that show in particular I wish he would have STFU a lot more, too.

I tend to watch for the guests. Glad I saw Mr. Goddard. Very well-spoken gentleman, a good advocate for sensible gun control measures, imho.
