Father And Son Don’t Get Their Chicken Wings, Return To Restaurant With AK-47

A father and son pointed an AK-47 machine gun at a fast food cashier who gave them the wrong order.

An angry Antonius Hart Sr. and Antonius Hart Jr. (pictured below) returned to Pirtle’s Chicken in Memphis after realizing they hadn’t been given the chicken wings they ordered.

The cashier offered to replace the missing pieces, but the pair wanted more, demanding extra chicken pieces due to them having to drive back to the restaurant.

When that was refused, Antonius Hart Sr. allegedly revealed the AK-47 he had brought with him.

Another restaurant worker spied the gun and contacted police. Cops recovered the weapon and 24 live rounds of ammo before charging Hart Sr. with aggravated assault and his 19-year-old son with facilitation of a felony.

...bus stop, geeze, probably about 5+ years ago and it was right next to a KFC. I honestly don't get why people would eat there because it's generally the most unhealthy fast food place possible.

Anyway an absolutely huge truck pulled up and an equally big guy got out and walked inside. I really didn't think much of it, just another person going to the Land of the Double Down.

Still waiting for the bus and about five minutes later, there's this huge commotion and its the same guy (had to be like, 6'2 at least) freaking out, I mean completely freaking out and shouting that he couldn't believe they ran out of whatever kind of chicken he wanted. Huge dude, shouting at the top of his lungs, red-faced and truly apoplectic. He was throwing such a fit as he towered in the doorway of that place that I immediately became concerned about what he might do next. It was actually pretty scary, even 30-40 feet away.

Anyway, not content just to freak out, he tries slamming their door (which doesn't slam), this pisses him off more and he rips open the door of his own giant truck, slams that (that one slammed), starts the truck and just guns the engine as hard as he can, like some bizarre extension of his anger, then quickly threw it into reverse (coming my direction), hooked around the back of the place and then shot out onto the street proper without so much as hesitating.

That also freaked me out because that's super dangerous on this particular road. He drove by me, heading back into town and I got a good look at his huge, beet-red angry face. Goddamn that dude was angrier than one can easily communicate.

I do not know what makes some people flip out like this at fast food places but I've seen more than my share of people doing it on YouTube and (as above) in real life.

It's absolutely, dangerously absurd.

and it does have a medical name -- Neuroglycopenia. It sets in when blood sugar is <30 mg/dL and is associated with confusion, lethargy, bizarre behavior and, ultimately seizures and loss of consciousness.

Irritability isn't a classic "sign and symptom" of diabetes, but that doesn't mean that some people wouldn't experience it as a result of the chemical imbalances that result from it. The classic symptoms of type 1 diabetes are rapid onset of 1. 3Ps -- polyuria, polydypsia, polyphagia w/rapid weight loss (lots of P, constant water drinking and constant hunger), 2. DKA -- diabetic ketoacidosis (ketones making the blood too acid) and 3. kassmaul klien respirations (deep breathing and panting as your body tries to compensate by blowing off CO2 to reduce the blood's acidity)

With highs, I can be irritable and in a bad mood, thirsty, sluggish. You can become dehydrated and have a severe loss of potassium. You can go into a coma with hyperglycemia too. I have experienced some scary lows. My mother once woke me up when I was really low, around 35 mg/dl. Normal is around 100 before eating. I nearly passed out. I ate some glucose gel while I was shaking badly but the blood sugar went up.

I know someone who takes a medication for the thyroid, and if he doesn't have it for a week, he could say inappropriately mean and aggressive things, and not remember later. He's not like that when he's taking his medications.

I'm not saying presume this, and if it's from blood sugar or cardio-vascular health, it's just another reason not to get food at KFC. Pain and inflammation have a way of making people meaner, though, perhaps even if they're sensed unconsciously.

The restaurant has declined to comment about the alleged incident, but customers were more than happy to weigh in.

“I guess in this area, people don’t play about their food,” shrugged Courtney Marable to WREG-TV.

Fellow customer Tonya McGraw admitted the men’s actions were “crazy,” but suggested it could help improve customer service: “Next time they better get them wings right.”

If "next time they better get those wings right" is the conclusion drawn from these actions we're simply lost as a nation. Unfuckingreal.

But as someone who works in the service industry, this is terrifying. Over an order of fast-food wings (must be under $20), these two flashed a -loaded gun- at a fast food service wage slave. That is a threat to someone's life. The responses of the other customers is even more frightening. No sympathy for the person who has been threatened by a loaded gun, but an insistence that, "Hey, they shouldn't have gotten that order wrong. That'll learn'em."

Mistakes happen and nobody's perfect. A missing item from a dinner could be the fault of the cooks, could by the cashier's fault, could be a mistake anywhere along the line, and is easily corrected. "Excuse me, but I believe I didn't get my wings from this order." would get you your damn wings.

These people are probably making minimum wage, and now they have to learn a lesson on customer service at gunpoint? Just how entitled to these people really feel? Sorry to be the downer, here, but I'm just not laughing at this.

But, cops work for the government so we trust them above all others.

Anyone here want to answer my question yet about what percent of gun owners use their guns in crimes?

Still waiting. No one seems to want to address that.

I'm all for certain restrictions of assault weapons, but this is a case of behavioral and anger management problems. There's something really wrong with that man and he shouldn't own any gun. I doubt if he does after today.

I believe this is a case where you can't blame the gun.

If Jesus can change water into wine, and feed the multitude with a few fishes, he can turn a deep fried fillet into a wing.

Which would be the difference between three years served (or so) and a ten year mandatory.

There's a proper tool for everything.

85. They overreacted, I usually only pull out an AK when the call them "Buffalo wings"

Not simply because I'm from Buffalo, but because what we call chicken wings (nobody calls them Buffalo wings here) are a very simple and delicious recipe that is almost impossible to screw up. In the few other states I have been to they called them buffalo wings and they tasted nothing like the original chicken wings that we expect when we order them here. Some were good, but not the same dish. In most other places they use complicated sauces that are hit and miss. They are wing parts of a chicken, so I don't mind if they call them that, they can serve them raw rolled in cabbage and that wouldn't change that they are chicken wings.

Buffalo wings implies they are done Buffalo style, as first served at the Anchor Bar, we love those and the only variation is how hot. All the pizza/wing/sub places use the classic recipe or if they offer other winged dishes they change the name ike so: "Over-The-Pit Grilled Wings - Choose BBQ, Honey Mustard, or Cajun"

Those wings in the story looked tasty, but they were not Buffalo style wings as can be gleaned from the sauce, therefore if they dared call them buffalo wings I would likely have to pull out both a glock and an assault rifle! we take our wings seriously here.

As civilized people that did not rudely claim they were Buffalo style wings, there was simply no reason to threaten a righteous multi-round shooting attack, I save that for the barbarians that commit the winged sacrilege!

I prefer to make my own hot wings at home, with plenty of cayenne--either grilled, or fried with panko breading (NOT corn flakes! ).

I've never had genuine Buffalo wings, though, and I wouldn't dream of calling my wings that--or anything other than delicious. And if they want my recipe they'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands!
