GOP newsletter author: ‘We most likely won’t try to kill’ pro-Obamacare Republicans

The author of a county Republican Party newsletter in Arkansas says that he and other conservatives in the state “most likely won’t try to kill” Republican lawmakers who voted to expand Medicaid under President Barack Obama’s health care reform law.

In the April edition of the Republican Party of Benton County Newsletter, Chris Nogy argued that “this betrayal deserves a quick implementation of my 2nd amendment rights to remove a threat.”

“I don’t feel the same way about the Democrats as bullet backstops as I do about the Republicans who joined them,” Nogy wrote. “We need to let those who will come in the future to represent us [know] that we are serious. The 2nd amendment means nothing unless those in power believe you would have no problem simply walking up and shooting them if they got too far out of line and stopped responding as representatives.”

So, to be clear, they still want to shoot the GOP reps that voted to expand Medicaid and aren't backing down on that one bit. But, they most likely won't.

Nut Jobs!

And if so, wouldn't this rise to that level? I can't imagine crap like this would be covered by the First Amendment.

Our elected officials are there to do the job whether we like it or not. Threatening to kill those because you don't like their policies is an act of war and should be considered treason.

Some from out of state. Dems in Colorado are fielding death threats as well as raping them to death, according to stories posted here on DU. This was always the inherent threat in the back of all they did then, and it remains. Much older threat with Liberal Hunting Permits, etc.:

These creeps believe that the purpose of the 2nd amendment is to allow a minority to use deadly force to take control from the majority. Even worse, the Democratic controlled Senate allows a minority of Senators to stop legislation supported by 90% of voters with a 41% minority.
