What These Tweets Tell Us About Boston Bombing Suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev apparently maintained an active Twitter account. A high school classmate of the at-large Boston Marathon bombing suspect has confirmed to BuzzFeed that the @J_tsar Twitter account belongs to Tsarnaev, and multiple Twitter users who say they are friends of Tsarnaev have pointed to this Twitter feed as his. The tweets on the @J_tsar account cover a variety of topics, including religion and pop culture, and contain much trash talk about women. The user of this account kept on tweeting after the bombing. On April 15, hours after the attack, he tweeted, "Ain't no love in the heart of the city, stay safe people." On April 17, he tweeted, "I'm just a stress free kind of guy." Here's a sampling of odd, mundane, and chilling tweets from the account from the past year, including one in which the user laments, "The value of human life ain't shit nowadays."

Following the above are a slew of actual tweets/retweets from his account. . . .

Don't underestimate the mind of a 19 yo.

He is his own person. Made his own choice. Those so-called "friends" who could not comprehend why and how he did it were simply not his friends.

He probably confided his ardent hatred for America to those foreign Kharzak friends at UMD with whom he can identify with (from Central Asia) than those who knew him from Cambridge Rindge and Latin HS.

I used to be a foreign student in this country many years ago. We acted like other American classmates because "When in Rome, do as Romans do". But we were not Americans in anyway.

It took me many years to become "American".

I personally understand his tweet that he had been in this country for a decade, time for him to get out. Sheer alienation for failure to fit in. Just like his uncle assessed.

Saw one of them, claiming he wants to testify at trial. WTF is he going to testify about?
How nice a guy the suspected terrorist was?

This "so-called" reporter recognized the guy from the photos and yet dismissed it "nah... it couldn't be him" and did not even report a suggestion to FBI.

How did a guy like that become an investigative reporter? there was evidence and refused to investigate? Not even called the guy up and checked out "hey, you know that the photo looks like you? were you there? Could it be a mistake?..." etc.

The surviving Boston Marathon bombing suspect, Dzhokhar ‘Jahar’ Tsarnaev, had an active Twitter account under the name jhar (@j_tsar). According to an April 19 report on Forbes, this has been confirmed to be the suspect’s true Twitter account. Curious people and amateur investigators are poring through Jahar’s tweets trying to understand how a 19-year-old college student could turn into an alleged terrorist.

There are many questions that the bombing suspect’s Twitter feed brings to mind. One very perplexing one involves two of his friends whose accounts were first locked and then removed.

The first mystery disappearance involved a Twitter user named @therealAbdul_ . On April 16, Jahar tweeted to this friend:

therealAbdul_ #heavy I've been looking for those, there is a shortage on the black market if you wanna make a quick buck, nuff said..

Kids like them don't keep secret like this easily.
They love to boast before and after.

Not surprised if those Central Asia friends of him might have got wind of something might be happening. It might have occurred when they exhorted each other their hatreds for America and about how 9/11 were an "American inside job" to make Americans hate muslims.

Dzhokhar might have boasted with them that he would do something about it to "teach" Americans a lesson etc.

This is no difference from what I saw years ago when I was in college and heard other foreign students espousing their anti-Americanism. Except that these have basic moral values. They didn't become terrorists, and some have reached the pinnacle of Americanism that they once eschewed, like working on Wall Street, made millions, lived an American dream life, engaged in politics by becoming big PAC donors etc.

The kids who failed and high on sociopathic or psychopathic score are at the greatest risk to become terrorists.

were divorced or separated? This could be another factor that could contribute to disillusionment with American culture. If the parents split after coming to America, the brothers could have blamed American culture for that and that is what turned to older one to look to extreme Islam to justify his own failure. Basically, he might be thinking: "See? I failed because my parents weren't following Islamic tradition strictly enough." In other words, "American culture corrupted my parents/family and all the responsibility for my life was prematurely and unfairly placed on me. I shouldn't be blamed for my failures. I'm going to restore my name in death by adhering to this extreme sub-culture of Islam."
