1. My wife worked for a roofing company at that time

They were still doing claims from that storm 18 months later. Somehow it missed our house, thankfully. I think our block was the only one that didn't get hit by it. Everyone I know got a new roof and windows out of it.
There was a mysterious Maybach parked outside my church when the storm hit - the pastor posted a pic on FB, commenting that no one knew whose it was... I shudder to think what happened to it. Because our church's windows on that side of the building were destroyed.

You could tell by the relative calm in his voice. I have never seen a hail storm like that.
