Boycott anti-Obamacare companies and CEOs

I was just watching TV and an ad came on for Poppa John's Pizza featuring the publicity loving CEO himself trying to come off as a nice guy. I don't like the fact that he is threatening to raise his prices and/or lay off workers because he says the Affordable Care Act is too expensive (it's come out that all he has to do is raise his prices by a nickel).

I may be late with this but I realized we can do something about it. We on DU should boycott this guy's business and all the other CEOs/businesses that do the same. I don't care what his politics are but I take issue with him having the nerve to come out publicly against federal law and inject his politics into his employees' welfare with threatened lay offs. If he wants to do that we can fight back by taking our business elsewhere.

Other companies like Denny's, Olive Garden and Applebee's have done similar things. If you know of other companies please respond by adding them to the list.

BOYCOTT POPPA JOHN'S!

I searched online and could not find a current link to a PJ commercial. I hate Papa John's and their policies re: their employees, but I would appreciate a link before I complain, again. Thanks. - Fleur

I saw the ad on TV about 45 minutes ago and realized he's going about business-as-usual after his anti-AFA stance and expecting everyone to still patronize his pizza shops. I say since he injected his politics into his business he should suffer the consequences. I personally will not patronize Poppa John's and will encourage others not to as well.

Papa John's Obamacare Stance Costs Company Its Reputation: Study

Turns out nobody wants a side of politics with their pizza.

The opinion of Papa John's among recent casual diners dropped precipitously after CEO John Schnatter's public comments about Obamacare, according to a new study from YouGov BrandIndex, which researches brand perception for marketing directors, brand managers and PR reps. The site conducts thousands of interviews a day, providing real-time info that shows trends and responses to different marketing techniques or in this case, public gaffes.

The national pizza chain's YouGov BrandIndex Buzz score -- which the site uses as an indication of brand favorability -- dropped to four at the end of November, down from 32 on election day.

If we are ever going to take back our country from these assholes we have to get Americans to wake up and support local businesses again.

Every big franchise and national/multinational company is pretty rotten (with very few exceptions - i.e. Costco).

Boycott the monstrosities, and help usher in a new America where every city is not an exact replica of the other.

Support small, local business whenever possible (Bonus: If the owners actually support progressive/liberal values/causes).
