5. I am kind of surprised there haven't been more details

either given or leaked. Strange - this whole thing has been so out there and full of many details and then it was almost like as soon as they caught the guy things got real quiet. I see lots of speculation and info on the dead guy, including a photo from the morgue I guess, but nothing about the one in custody.

10. Surprises me, as well

The status of his condition is rather silent. The most that I heard was he was in serious condition with 2 guards in his room and two stationed outside the room with him handcuffed to the bed.

I thought we'd at least hear leaked information regarding his condition by this time. Granted, I did hear he was shot in the neck and leg, but no reports of surgeries, etc.

Last word was that he wasn't recovered enough to speak yet.

leg/groin area. Someone on MSNBC said he may not be able to speak for a while due to the neck injuries.

The hospital will not be giving reports on his condition, only the FBI will do that. So far there haven't been any updates on his condition since he was captured, just reports that he's in "serious" condition.

The only report I got through the grapevine is that he was intubated on the scene and has been in surgery much of the night.

That makes not reading him his rights quite understandable and the ACLU is stirring a tempest in a teapot this time. He can and should be Mirandized at his bedside, when he's conscious and able to understand.

It doesn't make any sense to Mirandize someone who is badly injured and unconscious.

I don't care if his handlers bring him coffee and doughnuts or tea and crumpets while extracting the last bit of information from his brain (it's been known for ages that "befriending" suspects yields much better info than torturing them, so yeah, I do mean that).

Then he can spend the rest of his miserable existence in prison. I doubt he'll be happy there.
