the hijacked guy (victim) left his cellphone in SUV, that's how cops knew they went to Watertown...

Luckily for law enforcement, the victim's cell phone remained in the SUV, allowing police to determine the vehicle was in Watertown and eventually catch up to it.

I heard the interview on TV too.

It came out of the mouth of the police chief.

I think the CNN bashing is going a bit overboard now.

After officers tackled the older brother and were trying to handcuff him, the younger one, still in the SUV, ran over and dragged him, then drove through the police line to escape. Wow.

Although my understanding is that there is a built-in tracking device (probably anti-theft) that they were in the process of trying to activate but they found the car first - before being able to activate the device.

the CNN crew was the once referred to by police on the scanner as being in the cross fire and holding up the actions to get the suspect.
