Luckily for law enforcement, the victim's cell phone remained in the SUV, allowing police to determine the vehicle was in Watertown and eventually catch up to it.

(11,093 posts)Although my understanding is that there is a built-in tracking device (probably anti-theft) that they were in the process of trying to activate but they found the car first - before being able to activate the device.
