I think they let him get cold and close to death in the boat. He was losing blood all day. And they later shot him in the boat. He was shot in the neck and the leg. They didn't specify whether those two wounds were the recent shots.

They didn't even know he was in the boat until owner went to check on the boat and found blood-and that was after "shelter in place" order was lifted.

types of updates, but it became apparent early on that wasn't going to be.

I'm assuming if he didn't survive, we'd at least heard that.

I don't think he is anywhere near death.

I suppose, even though he believes he's going to Heaven when he dies. You'd think either one would look forward to dying and want to do it sooner rather than later, but that's usually not the case.

And for some reason I'm thinking he'll be pretty cooperative (as much as his defense allows him to be) without his older brother looming large over his shoulder.

Not sure who said that -- not an official announcement. Might have been Deval Patrick?

I wonder why they WOULDN'T give an update? Not sure why it's important to keep that quiet, but then I'm not a Fed.

security in the case that there are others involved that might want to keep him quiet (i.e. dead). I think that is why there is so little information coming out right now.

It was only one reporter I heard say "fighting for his life" -- but when I heard that I'd wondered if an update about his condition had been issued.

I wish they'd keep us informed -- just a little update.

... and they're threatened with painful electric shocks if they don't fire off at least two a minute or something. Someone's in the hospital with gunshot wounds, someone's going to drop the phrase "fighting for his life," yadda yadda. May have even been true if he was hit twice, but if he's alive and not currently in surgery he's probably well out of that stage of treatment.

(I also wonder if anyone's actually been annoyed enough at media coverage of things to try to compile such a list. If they have, when I'm the increasingly deranged emperor of the future, I'll have to ban the use of items on said list in interesting, tyrannical ways...)

Go about halfway down to the embedded video.

According to the article, he has a 'back of the neck wound' which is an exit wound. The reporter says that the FBI thinks he may have tried to kill himself by eating a gun and somehow missed the necessary body parts. It sounds like the interior of his neck is damaged which may be why he cannot talk to them now.

FWIW

Also, I'm not sure how detailed they can be about his ongoing health status/treatments. It may actually be a HIPAA violation for the doctors or the FBI to publicize that information w/o his permission.
