A toast to Massachusetts

Officials, law enforcement, citizens, stood tall in the face of terrorism.

Professionalism, clear, calm thinking and collaboration got the job done.

We showed the world that fear, which is the ultimate goal of people who commit such atrocities, is something we have control over. And more importantly, how we react to that fear can be our strongest defense against such violence. We did not allow the aggressors that victory over us.

We mourned those who we're killed. We wept for those so badly injured. We got pissed. We gained resolve. We won.

A terrible day. A courageous spirit shining through in the end by the end of the week.
