Last I heard the bombs were set off using simple kitchen timers. There was no "trigger" for him to hit.

He's legally responsible for his own actions. It would have been on him to be sure of the safety of any "prank" he thought he was carrying out.

The "crazy prank" defense isn't going to work here, nor is the "it was all a dream" defense. This is an adult we're talking about here, and he must be held accountable for his own actions, regardless of what he "thought" was going to happen.

It won't work but that's how I'd play it. It's all the Brother's fault.

and according to reports, Dzhokhar spent Wednesday at school at UMass Dartmouth. He could have turned himself in if it was just a joke. Oh, and whoever heard of a smoke bomb in a pressure cooker?
