No Miranda and Diane Sawyer sounds drunk again

A senior Justice Department official told ABC News that federal law enforcement officials are invoking the public safety exception to the Miranda rights, so that Tsarnaev will be questioned immediately without having Miranda rights issued to him.

The federal government's high value detainee interrogation group will be responsible for questioning him.

The Miranda exemption exists to protect the public safety from another attack, according to the official.

7. No this is not 1960, 1970, 1984, 1999. This is the modern world.

The 60's was over 50 years ago.

In the 60s, the World Trade Center was just a dream.
In the 70s, the World Trade Center was built
In the 80s, Ronald Reagan bankrupt the world
In the 90s, we had a good president
In 2001, the world Trade Center no longer stood.

No, it's not the 1960s.

And, most of the protesters who I admired back then that have lasted, have, like me, evolved into knowning that wasn't the right way to protest.

But then some think the 1950s was a great time.
Not to a great majority of the country, and no, I did not like Ike either.

This is 2013.
and I am not partying like its 1999 either.

5. I find it on the verge of silly. What if he knows he's can be silent and have an attorney?

What then? You just go ahead and employ Cheney's enthusiastic interrogation techniques?

Wouldn't it be better, if you want to DENY someone's constitutional rights to just get a federal magistrate to declare that?

13. Ok, I still find Obama's DOJ position questionable. What if Tsarneiv knows his rights?

Do they think that not reading a person rights granted by the constitution are denied if you don't mention them?

That's preposterously silly.

If what they want is permission to torture the guy, then they ought to invoke Yoo woo that as CIC Obama can do whatever the hell he wants, just like President Cheney.

and just laughing at the threads about Miranda Rights. I've seen some clever edits to wash that assertion away.
