BOSTON IS WICKED AWESOME!!!!!!

Shout out from your cousins to the South, "New Yahwk"! We're so glad you are safe and sound and the nightmare is over. Hats off to Boston PD, MA Troopers, RI Troopers, CT Troopers...and a special cheer for our own NYPD who went to assist.

Cheers!!!!!

Edited to add - Listening to the scanner was intense, but I got a giggle listening when one of Boston's finest said "NYPD ah bah-bah-queing far us if yah hungry..."

My grandpa's family were that wonderful hybrid of Old Line Yankee (Mayflower stock--Chilton-Winslow! Can't get more Boston than that!) and New Amsterdam Dutch. Add to that an immigrant Irish mother - so you see, Boston is really my emotional home!!!!

So happy to see everyone cheering and happy up there...Go SOX!!!!

I remember this guy, vacationing from Maine, use to come into the Hanapepe Cafe, where I worked in the '90s on Kaua'i, and we all loved how he ordered a Gaaah-Den Burger. lol

and please don't take offense. You live in a fantastic city. When I saw the Boston crowds clapping, I couldn't help wondering if this had been NY people would be complaining it had taken so long. What do you think?

Leave us stranded without plowing? Watch out! Law enforcement after something horrific? No way.

Funny, when I saw the crowds cheering I thought "if this was LA they'd be booing...". That may seem unfair or hyperbolic, but after living in various places around the country for a spell (LA for 4 years), I can tell you that as a general rule, the people of the NorthEast are much more supportive of their police, and the police are a LOT more respectful to the citizens. I think that is, to a large degree, that the cops here still have foot patrols, and a lot of our cops live in the communities they patrol.

That's my opinion. And no offense taken! NYers are a lot more patient than most people give them credit for--as long as there is a good reason for it.

Much love to our friends from the north.

(Dirty little secret of all New Yawkahs: we actually love going to Boston - I've been there on vacation THREE separate times, paid good money to go. Philly, don't fret: we NYers make fun of you, too, but we also secretly love visiting Philly!)

What kind of assclown does shit like that? Starting with calling Bostonians drunks then going on to flame guys who went to work not knowing if they'd come home to their families? I mean...I'm gobsmacked. Then again, I just assume douchebags like that have small minds (and, I'd wager, small peepees).

What a wanker. Thanks to everyone voting it down, and I apologize for my rude response. Okay, no i don't...but thanks and thanks to you sheshe...I'm sure your post would have been a good one!
