When the taxpayers are paying for public safety

no expense is spared. Boston is locked down, and all businesses are closed.

However, when legislation concerning public safety might cost the gun industry money, even after the massacre of children in Newtown, congress votes it down.

All of this in the same week. If we didn't know where we stood before, we should damn well know now.

My problem is with the gun lobby and their irresponsible behavior.

Responsible gun ownership I have no problem with--but this other shoot em' up any old way with military weapons-sorry, gotta go.
And it will and they know it. But they have a lot more whining to do first.

with John Fugelsang, and John basically said that he thinks this is where the NRA jumped the shark (me paraphrasing). It doesn't even represent its membership anymore, only the gun lobby. I hope he's right.

BTW, John Fugelsang has been wicked smart on Steph's show for a while now, and is equally impressive on his Current show.

squeezing whatever they can from their "membership" and the suckers who support them will pay whatever. But somethings are just plain fucking over-today, next year, whenever.

You can't rationalize the gruesome deaths of 20 little ones and their caregivers and come back like you're Mr. Clean. Not going to happen.'Sides, American are soooooooooo weary of war and guns and violence.
