Here is what I am watching: http://livewire.wcvb.com/Event/117th_Running_of_Boston_Marathon

It was dark and it was live. Other reporters asked if they were playing a tape, they said, "no, this is live."

picture of the boat if you are referring to the same video some of the cable channels are showing.

I don't think there are many news helicopters hovering anywhere near at the moment.

some were reporting it as currently ongoing, and many media folks kept running it..but after dark it was obvious that is could not be "right now"

I've been listening to the scanner, since they've approached the boat, they've explicitly said not to fire their weapons.

He's suspected to be heavily armed and wearing a suicide explosive device. Who should risk their life to save his? I sure as shit wouldn't.
I hope he surrenders, though.

No murder is what he and his brother are alleged to have done to
3 people watching the marathon and to a campus cop @ M.I.T. along
with blowing the legs off or wounding 150 people ........ sure it would
be nice to get him alive but risking one more man or woman to catch
him alive is simply not worth the risk.

If he dies cold, alone, and scared in some boat in a backyard then it is
100% on him and not on the men and women of law enforcement.
(If he wants to live all he needs to do is put his hands up.)

and prevent us from stopping the next generation of those with that mindset, or a grown one.

I hope he lives so he can talk about what motivated him. to kill him is to silence him and his motives, ensuring they will come back at us again.

Think, folks.
