Probably not.
But in an saner world, those who accuse the Bush administration of making or letting 9/11 happen, or who are convinced the US government/the mob/the Cubans/the Russians/the CIA/ the SS was behind some grand plot to kill JFK would realize that their ravings sound a lot like Alex Jones' ravings to those of us who tend to believe forensic evidence.
Sigh. Another teachable moment bites the dust.

(2,654 posts)I agree that CTs should be viewed very skeptically, unless there is strong evidence of plausible conspiracy. In any tragic event, if a researcher digs deep enough, there will always arise some coincidence of events or miscue by the authorities which will raise questions.
With regard to the FBI following Oswald, if my memory serves me correctly, the agent in charge lost track of him prior to the assassination. When the assassination occurred, the agent was in possession of some note pertaining to Oswald's file, and he decided to destroy it. Those facts looked suspicious, but, in the opinion of most investigators, they do not establish any involvement of the government in the assassination.
In this case, we have an FBI interview of the older brother which took place two years ago and which did not reveal any troublesome signs. The FBI's file on the older brother was closed which, as far as my impressions are concerned, was proper.

(19,326 posts)a) doesn't mean anything to me, since I know he's a bit of a nutter,
b) What Mr. Jones says doesn't alter my conspiratorial imaginings about
JFK, RFK, MLK & 9/11, not even one whit. The "Official Story" in all
these cases is just that, some cock & bull story that defies logic and
does not stand up to any close scrutiny.
c) hence, those of us willing to admit these official stories are bullshit can
be oh-so-easily marginalized by the M$M, and by the likes of the "anti-CT"
crowd, sheeple who apparently believe every damn lie the US gov't
has ever told.

Jones being a professional whackado doesn't change the fact that there are many legitimate questions surrounding 9/11 and JFK.
