Did they pick the wrong area to begin with?

Never understood exactly why they picked Watertown in the beginning. Just because of a ditched car?

He ran off on foot last night. He is believed to be wounded.

They could have chased the car to Watertown. And he got away on foot. Like the cops said that's how he got away - on foot.

Such is the way with street parking in an area with mass transit. Common not to use it every day, and have it go missing unnoticed.
