1. Must talk endlessly pointing out the obvious
2. When possible use adjectives like dark-skinned, foreigner, immigrant
3. If there is nothing to report, make shit up

I must say the local coverage on Boston stations has been pretty straightforward and not too bad--they are actually getting the story, providing reasonable context, and not overly speculating... but these network clowns are enough to make one sick.
