(18,807 posts)I saw that exchange live - some moron was demanding he verify his patriotism, loudly asking over and over if he can confirm whether he loves America or not.
The guy was already angry enough about the whole situation - there was mingled pain and outrage all through his voice - and he just blew up at the reporter after he repeated the question three times or so.

At this time it is critical for us to see suspect #2 as really bad. That condemnation from an uncle serves our emotional needs, even while it exploits shame and humiliation by genetic association.
I recognize this for what it is. Support for "US, that is what we needed and how the Uncle protects himself from the stigma of a terribly criminal relative.
