I'm old, but that is the movie that pic reminds me of. No zombies, no living dead. Might have been a spaceman in it though.

Sci Fi movies were always the scariest for me. I remember a scene in one where the entire city was deserted. Scared the crap ot of me. Lost in Space used to scare the crap out of me too.

You're right, it does look like that. I still thought of Walking Dead immediately, though, because I'm a Walking Dead fan.

While also enjoying what large cities have to offer culturally, that would be beautiful sight if not for the circumstances.

I see about three cars in the picture. The picture should be aptly named:

Driving in the city isn't for the faint at heart. Bookstores in Boston have whole aisles with books about how to drive in Boston. Go to the wealthy Beacon Hill neighborhood, and what do you see parked in driveways and streets, not high end cars. You're not a true Bostonian unless you have a few dings on your car. Fortunately, living in Birmingham, AL prepped me for driving in Boston... malfunction junction anyone?

I loved visiting Boston, hopefully, with my partner retiring in 2 weeks, we'll be able to consider visiting again soon!

I spent too long in the rural towns to get used to all that traffic, I'm afraid.

I hate going through Atlanta. To visit my parents in KY I have to go through Chattanooga and Knoxville, and I don't like driving in those cities, especially during rush hours, although they're great places to visit.

The picture you posted was telling, in my experience traffic was always heavy in Boston, no matter the time of day.

a very weird week here, to say the least. the bombing, the vermin coming out all over the net, the massive police presence in town. i remember all the Nam protests, never once saw a cop armed with an m-16, they were every where in town. then All the news outlets from around the world. i took a walk up the next street over from the bombing sites on Tuesday morning, you could Smell the residue of the explosion. it was horrifying..today was eerie....I need a Martini or 12...Lene B
