And anyone who lived in Chechnya during, well, ever is going to have some issues with governments.

I can sort of understand the family believing this.

What I'm waiting for is the wacko conspiracy theorists trying to pick a million holes in the story to prove that it's a government conspiracy. "Marathon Truthers" or whatever. It's bound to happen.

We need to remember where they are from ... and what they (or their friends and neighbors) have experienced.

in their desire to stay in denial about the realities of what's unfolding....

Not sure why. I'm on record as not theorizing or speculating about who were the Boston marathon bombers, not even once.

But once the facts start coming out it becomes silly trying to continue to shape a story one way or another.

These were NOT teabaggers!

Why persist in clinging to pre-conceived ideas about who these losers are?

He said that his nephew should turn himself in and ask for forgiveness. I think the only way we find out what really happened is if they get him alive.

She was dressing down the journalists like they were disobedient little children. I understand that she is traumatized, but still, it was really something to watch. She is stupid for defending her nephews. Now she'll have all of North American law enforcement at her throat lest she give Dzhokhar safe harbor.

They're wrong, but they come by the feeling honestly considering their history. And one son is dead, the youngest is on the run. I have a feeling this has a lot more to do with the older one not fitting in here and searching for some identity. He chose radical Islam to make his mark. And the younger one idolized him.

Were they just attending a sports event?

Or were they up to no good?

Watch them. Are they walking together, if not arm-in-arm, then at least near each other?

No. They were walking single file with backpacks on their back a rather precise difference from each other. There may even have been a person with a yellow backpack behind them also walking single file.

If they had been just having a good time, they would have walked together. They walked single file to avoid looking like they were together.

They acted very guilty. I think the mother and the aunt are living in a world of wishes. I can understand that. They wish that what is mostly likely true wasn't true. But if those young men had just been having a good time, they would not have tried to sneak through the crowd single file as if to avoid appearing to be together.

Looks like if one got caught with a bomb, the other one wanted to be able to get away -- or maybe they did not want to be too close to each other in case one of the bombs went off accidentally.

transparency reigns supreme.

Are you friggin kidding? How many assassinations have gone down in this country? Bankers and Wall St. crime, illegal wars, etc., are you friggin kidding?

I love the woo hate & frenzy that's come out in full force here, America is number one, rah-rah? We are starting to be the opposite in folly of the TP, but folly none the less...things are never as they seem. American history is rife with lies....yeah, foreigners who come here, at least know this as truth. We PRETEND all is well here...if you truly believe this, I've got a bridge to sell you.

I thought we at DU at least understood, the TRUTH, is not always what's revealed as such. Some takes digging, and some is just never known. One thing is certain, there is a huge distrust in gov't, yes, by the TP, and yes by DU'ers....that shit is broken.

We risk becoming what we laugh at. Rah-rah indeed.

TeamPooka, this is the way of the world, not just Chechnya, you've gotta sift your way through the lies and BS on a daily basis.
There's a lot of TP folly that's warranted, but some things are simply ass-backwards these days. What is NOT corrupt, what is true?
I think this is why we need to shut up about all of this, a little, can we try this for awhile?

However, at some point she'll have to face and accept reality, and deal with whatever emotions/feelings go along with it.
