This. Is. VOLUNTARY.

Last edited Fri Apr 19, 2013, 06:07 PM - Edit history (1)

I live in the shelter-in-place area. If you want, I will go outside and walk a few miles, taking pictures of myself every so often not being arrested or otherwise having my civil liberties violated. I can do that, because THIS IS VOLUNTARY.

They asked for our help. We are giving it VOLUNTARILY by staying inside.

They asked, we have done, and that is that. This is what a community working together looks like. This is what crowdsourcing a sick criminal bastard to justice looks like.

Period.

Man, the Derp is strong today.

doing what Boston does. It's a proud city. And people are willing to keep out of the way to make it easier to catch those who harmed the city on Patriot's Day when the city hosted the world to the marathon. People just don't understand unless they have lived close enough to know the city... I grew up in southern VT... We spent many field trips at the museums and in the city. Many of us when we are old enough drive to the edge and take the T into the city to see a game or take in sites or visit a friend in college. I flew out of there when I went to Italy for my college graduation gift. My sister and her husband head into the city quite often (less now that they have the baby), but its an enjoyable place with great people and somehow everyone kind of know everyone... Its like Charleston in SC.. Everyone knew everyone somehow through someone... And when you move into the area, you become a part of the area.

They just don't get it Will. I get it and I didn't even "live" in the city... Only visited on occassions for a great trip away from the country.

On Edit: And as the police are going door to door, they are probably being greated with well wishes and refreshments from most of the residents. They want the bombers caught and anyone who may be associated at all with the two boys (I have a feeling there are more players on the back scene.. lot's of bombs for just two to mastermind in my opinion).

It would be curious to hear whether or not any blood was noted in the vehicle that was found. That piece of information would give people a better idea of how long the manhunt might take. If he was wounded seriously, he may have gone to ground and bled out. A dead suspect may be harder to find then a live one.

No point asking when it is
No point asking who's to go

No point asking who's to blame
'cos if you're gonna die, if you're gonna die
'cos if you're gonna die, if you're gonna die

It's for the safety of the residents and completely understandable when you have a bombing suspect running around.

If actual martial law was happening, it wouldn't be happening as a result of a madman on the lose. It wouldn't be temporary and would be completely mandatory.

I agree, it is not appropriate to call this "martial law".
