Bomb suspects threw pressure cooker bomb at Police

Boston Globe:

CBS News is reporting that a package thrown at police in Cambridge earlier was a pressure cooker bomb, and that police found pipe bombs in the Norfolk Street, Cambridge home they are searching.

But the top had come off so that its punch was gone. Still both lid and pot were propelled, the latter imbedded into the side of a police car.

If the lid had stayed secure, possibly many police would have been maimed or killed. They were very lucky.
