Family Research Council tries to equate Boston bombing with gays & abortion

If Congress wants to stop these tragedies, then it has to address the government's own hostility to the institution of the family and organizations that can address the real problem: the human heart. As I've said before, America doesn't need gun control, it needs self-control. And a Congress that actively discourages it--through abortion, family breakdown, sexual liberalism, or religious hostility--is only compounding the problem.

People need to stop judging and condemning others. People need to respect that others may not always feel the same way about things, and accept that this is OK.

We should have empathy toward those who are hurting, whether it be emotionally, economically, mentally, etc. Then we should try to find a way to help them with their pain.

Organizations like the Family Research Council only make matters worse. They don't really represent families, because if they did, they would understand that a family today can be many different things. It's not Ward and June Cleaver and the boys any longer. Today, it's often long time friends living together, sharing their lives, or a son or daughter living with an elderly parent (or vice versa), it's people from different parts of the world, different ethnic backgrounds, people with children from different relationships, and the pets who provide comfort, joy, and unconditional love.

The Family Research Council and others of a like nature don't protect families--they tear them apart, because their definition of a family isn't open to all families--just the mother/father/son/daughter family that they want to accept as the one and only mixture that makes a family.

What we really need in this world is more love. There are a lot bigger problems in the world that need attention, but the changing nature of people, and who they love, and who they chose to make a family with isn't one of them.

Ironically, his stupidity has allowed him to stumble on the truth. This crime does involve religion and hostility. It was the religion of hatred taught by extremists that motivated these kids. Similar to the kind of hatred taught by religious extremists of all shades.
