Arkansas Lawmaker Mocks Boston ‘Liberals,’ Says They Wish They Had Assault Rifles

On Friday morning, Arkansas State Rep. Nate Bell (R) tweeted that “liberal” Boston residents likely wished for assault rifles and high-capacity magazines, as the manhunt for Boston Marathon bombing suspects continued.

Bell, a second-term legislator and National Rifle Association life member, has previously supported allowing guns in churches as “removing a state mandated restriction on religious freedom.”

His tweet said:

I wonder how many Boston liberals spent the night cowering in their homes wishing they had an AR-15 with a hi-capacity magazine?

During the shooting at my office building a couple of weeks ago, having a gun of my own was the last thing that was going through my mind. The only thing I was thinking about was staying in a safe location until all was clear. Honest to God truth.

Oh, and also, Nate Bell is an asshole.

No AR-15 would stop a grenade. Also, non northeasterner southerners need to just shut up right now. The Northeast has dealt with terrorism more than the south. We are more on the frontline. But whatever. We get so much hatred in the northeast it's not funny.

And, as a Southerner, I feel more hatred on this board than you can imagine.

I'm not a backward asswipe. I live in a CITY... we have those... and us urban dwellers are like yours, more educated, more liberal and more likely to not judge others for their race, creed or sexuality. The ONLY difference between the North and the South is that our cities are smaller and fewer.

If Philly and Pittsburgh didn't exist, Pennsylvania would be red and, on the adverse, if Knoxville, Nashville and Memphis were just a few thousand people larger, Tennessee would be blue.

taken into custody who had no involvement and this happened by trained professionals. I can't imagine everyone armed with AR-15's not spilling a lot of innocent blood.

Because they will need the money to send via Federal tax dollars to your net-tax-TAKER state.

Maybe you should put your fucking gun down and pick up some national reports, and see how sadly your state fails when stacked up against Massachusetts in terms of wealth, literacy, education, teen pregnancy, divorce, etc, etc, etc, etc.

(sorry Arkansas DUers - I'm sure it's a lovely place, and home of The Big Dog, but years of "leadership" from "Christian" idiots isn't helping your citizens any)

The guy you ask doesn't need a gun to slap you silly.
