5. No, not part of the tv series. From his recorded comedy shows. I had a copy of it.

He did a hilarious skit about himself as a child being scared listening to late night radio shows like The Shadow. He smeared jelly or something on the floor to keep the bad guys from getting him and his father skidded on it and fell when he got up one night went to make a midnight snack.

His father was exasperated at them one time and told them, 'I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it' to make them behave. Cosby was exaggerating for dramatic effect, no doubt. He had a lot of anecdotes about his childhood.

about "I can take you out." He used it in the show and other performances as well.
I'm not familiar with that particular skit though.

after he (Bill Cosby, not his dad) and his wife had gone to bed, and the long narratives of the effects that radio show had on him, and the stunts they pulled as kids were hysterical. He'd build the audience up following the story line and then they'd erupt. Very talented. These were before the television program, which I also enjoyed a lot.

at least that I caught. I looked it up based on the name Chicken hawk that the other poster mentioned. It's interesting how much younger he sounds, not only in voice but attitude.
