As people in our modern society, we expect pat solutions, like; he was sick, or he got picked on, or it was the drugs.

Our tv shows provide problems and solutions in their half hour or one hour time frames. All the loose ends are tied up, neat and clean and on to the next problem.

Life is much more complicated and unknowable. So it goes.

Often these people do not think in rational terms and may be psychopathic. To understand or "get" a crazy persons logic, you would need to be crazy yourself.
