Scholarship fund established for Marathon victims and families by UMass Lowell

We have established the UMass Lowell Boston Marathon Scholarship Fund, which will benefit any member of the University community, including their families and alumni, who has been affected and wants to pursue an education here.

Jeff Bauman, by the way, after coming out of surgery reportedly was able to give FBI the lead that pointed to the suspect searched for in the videos. He remembered getting a good look at the guy dropping the backpack right next to him that moments later blew his legs off. He had been working to pay loans to enable his return to UMass Lowell.
