Have you noticed that DU has more news on this than all the networks combined?

Granted there is a lot of speculation and a few nonsensical posts, but overall, there is more coverage of this event on DU than on MSNBC or the other networks. I read it here, then I wait to see if they will mention it on the TV? Of course, we don't have the restrictions that they might have? Just my opinion.

There have been a lot of empty-headed speculations that tellsus only about the prejudices of the individuals who posted them.

13. It's a relatively open forum, not a major media news outlet. Still, the BS is debunked here first.

It was discussed here while Fox/MSNBC were still on the suspect photos and CNN was on the Texas explosion.

that this area of Maryland had become inundated with Russians (not being able to distinguish among the various "Russian" ethnics) over the past 10 years. I even caught some flack about accusing them of being obnoxious and racists toward Latino and blacks...but it's true around here. Very rude neighbors and obnoxious at the Corner Bakery. Two of the kids attend school with my grandchildren and most of the children, including my grandchildren, have had problems with their aggressive behavior in school. I used to work with a Russian who was just the opposite. He and his wife were nice, compassionate, people and so different from the ones I see now. Just saying what I really experience...not trying to offend.

Last night when this all started coming down, I surfed HuffPO (which was soon up, after DU), MSNBC, Google News, Boston Globe, even CNN (yuck!) - only DU had the breaking news! I didn't believe it initially, since it was only here. Thought it was a sick joke - but sure enough, finally the others followed!

I didn't know that DU was a scoop-meister!

Let's just hope these are the bombers, and they get the 2nd guy alive, so the city can rest, and info can be obtained.

Methinks these guys are just lone "wolves" who are using Islam as an excuse for their violence - think they are associated with larger movements, but in truth, just losers.

Losers looking for an excuse to lash out.

Just like right wingers will use Jesus or Hitler as an excuse to murder.

At least I agree with the agendas of a lot of DUers, not so with the M$M, I don't agree with their agenda at all.

I just watch the evening news and look at the paper to see what they have decided that I didn't need to know. The news they don't mention is usually the most pertinent to my life.

Somebody will usually catch it fairly quickly and correct the record. But that is one of the downsides to free speech. Free speech unbridled.
