I was wondering.When background checks are done...

for buying guns.Do they check the social media sites of applicants? Example: Twitter, You Tube, Facebook,etc.If not do you think they should ? When something like this happens its only afterward those sites are checked.Provided if they purchased guns legally

The federal NICS sytem would not include checking those things. A local law enforcement agency doing a background check for CCW might check.
