It Is Hard To Believe That There Are Just Two Of Them. Has To Be A Cell In The Area. (Original Post) TheMastersNemesis Apr 2013 OP

that doesn't preclude the fact that two guys, who may have had prior military training, could do this on their own. It depends on how long they've been planning this.

They also said that they appear to have para-military training. So they either traveled back and forth a lot, or they got trained here. I kind of think that there are a few more people involved.

There are lots of indications that these two weren't that good at what they were doing.

A cell would be more likely to have gotten them undercover or out of the country.

Robbing the convenience store looks like they were trying to get funds to run, so it makes it more likely that they were acting alone.

I hope they catch one of them alive, but realistically the mop-up investigation will consume months. These people had days to get away, though, and the fact that they didn't surely means something. If you are part of an organized group and you are into this sort of tactic, you'd want to be free to keep the manhunt going and possibly have the scope to launch further attacks. Also other people in the group would want you to escape because they wouldn't want to be implicated.

It's also important to note that if they do catch one of them alive, whatever he says about motivation has to be taken with a big grain of salt.
