Perhaps they were going off early reports (fueled by that Reddit post)?

But apparently they're dismissing the notion that one of the suspects is the missing student.

MSNBC reporting they are foreign nationals.

How many people have to suffer through getting their names smeared and people never see the corrections. Ugh.
That poor family was thinking their son suicided, and then to have him described as a bomber and now so many people will still think he is. So horrible for them.

Curiosity and being at the head of the line to "solve a mystery" are not, in my opinion, compelling reasons to possibly jeopardize that student's future or further traumatize his family.

And the photos of the missing student don't look (to me) like the latest FBI photos of suspect #2 (white hat).
