Stories often break first on sites that are FILLED with BS. Weirdo sites that publish anything. Why? Because nobody really knows what happened, until they've put together all the pieces. Only in a setting where speculation can pass as fact do the facts appear first, because at first the facts are always speculative, unconfirmed.

So in the game of the scoop, where having the info first is prime concern, certainly of the facts falls by the wayside...it must, that's the law. Where accuracy of the information is prime, it takes time to piece together the picture with great certainty, and in many cases if you rely on sources that do this you find out last.

So we as consumers must decide which is important to us. Possibly correct facts now, or certainly correct facts later.

I for one like the possibly correct facts now, I can deal with them getting wrong for a bit.
