Doesn't sound like one of them is Sunil.
Reporters are just a joke!!!

(14,971 posts)I don't think it's him. Williams said the suspects have just been here for a year. Who knows?

(549 posts)If that's true, not good news. And not just because of the whole fucking white or Muslim thing. Now we've got a potential issue with another country on our hands

(21,786 posts)named on Boston police radio as Sunil Tripathi and Mike Mulugeta; Mulugeta (the dead suspect) had a Massachusetts ID card on his person. Mulugeta is an Ethiopian name; a quick Google search reveals one Mulugeta in the Boston area who may be a parent (and is the right age to be). Sunil Tripathi is from Pennsylvania. I'd have to be seriously questioning the whole "came from overseas" thing, based on what we know at this point.

The men have been here about 1 year.

I'm a patient person who can wait until reliable info comes out. I would rather wait for good intel than have to constantly get a changing story based on hearsay and unsubstantiated gossip. This is frustrating.

(22,911 posts)If they have not become citizens they are "not Americans". Of course there are many millions of Americans who originally came from overseas. From what I've seen these brothers were legal residents. Maybe one of them could be a citizen now, I'm not sure.
