Sleep safe, my friends. The super-sleuths over at Free Republic have solved the Boston bombing!

Apparently, they've all reached a consensus that Suspect 2 (white hat guy) is actually the Saudi national in the hospital who the NY Post identified as a suspect but who wasn't actually a suspect.

Only problem now is that President Obama cut a deal with the Saudi Royal Family to send the guy home so that....um....I don't know, he can taunt us with the crime?

I'd like to say I'm just mocking them sarcastically, but they are actually having this conversation as we speak and they honestly believe this shit.

Since I'm from Oklahoma I check in on NewsOn6.com now and again to see how the weather is back home. I have to deliberately NOT check out the news stories due to their bias and the redneck and down right racist comments.

There's a lot of crazy out there.

Reality has a liberal bias. Freepers decide what they want to believe and then make the evidence fit that.

is not limited to freeperville! I saw similiar posts in the on-line comment section of my mainstream daily rag.

That and ... "Yep ... they both look 'middle-eastern' to me!"

When I asked what a "middle-easterner" looks like, since they cover the skin-color and physical feature gamut.

susceptible to trolls that they get batted around like in a game of badminton. Gullibility is an easy mark and trolls could get a lot of mileage on their kind of stupid. That would explain why the stories on that side get so utterly ridiculous.

The idea is to bury those truths under a pile of bullshit.

And believe you me, it doesn't take much effort to find some pretty bloody worrisome examples of gullibility right here on DU.

considering the crystal ball speculations I've heard here today.

I can also agree with your first statements but isn't that what trolls love to do only for the laughs and without higher motives? It's like a troll's paradise. Just throw in a bone and what the dogs jump. The misinformation would take care of itself.

Who benefitted from the constant felonious conflation of 9/11 and Iraq?

Who benefitted from a generation of cigarette smoking disinformation?

Who dragged their heels in the asbestos debate?

Who is benefitting right now from climate change disinformation?

That idea, that a functional democracy requires a well informed populace begs a couple of immediate conclusions:
  • A misinformed populace results in a dis-functional democracy; and
  • a manipulable democracy requires a misinformed populace.

Who is benefiting from the deconstruction of public schooling?

How many "who"s can you find?

You make good sense!

I'm just saying it's a playground for trolls because of the people who populate the RW sites. Maybe the powers of the RW like that extra added bonus. I'm not saying trolls are the only reason for disinfo over there; they don't need the benefit unless they are the paid ones. And who would be paying them?

Even though the bastard BRAGGED about what he did.

You see, it *HAS* to be an Arab, since "good white Christians" never do stuff like bombings.

Even Eric Rudolph is *ACTUALLY* completely innocent!
